William Turner Exhibition 2001

in Hagen we stayed with the Scharlaus for two days and they persuaded us to an expedition to the Turner Exhibition at the Museum Folkwang : 150 large paintings (mostly from the Tate). After the quiet Flamish paintings an exhilarating frenzy of colors we were entirely unprepared for. - Another unexpected highlight of our museum's tour.
