Groeninge Museum
The Groenige is the City's Fine Arts Museum concentrating primarily on painters who lived and worked in Bruges. Its most prized painting is a large, elaborately executed Madonna commissioned by Canonicus Paele from Jan van Eyck - splendid but not my favorite.

Memling Museum in Sint Jans Hospital
In the former Sint-Jans Hospital six major pieces by Hans Memling are exhibited. Memling was born 1438 in Seligstadt, Germany. he died as one of the most influential Flamish painters 1494 in Bruges
